Terai Senior High School is on a general study course. Our school was once on a regular course, but it was changed into a general study course in1999. In a general study course, students can choose subjects that are suitable to their interests, individuality, and future dream. During school life,students decide what they will do next and set their own goals. Some studentstry to enter universities and others look for their future job. To achieve their goals, they learn various things in many kinds of lessons.

1.  All lessons start with basic knowledge and skills. The number of students for each lesson is small. It is really helpful to start to learn new things.

2.  Students can choose what they will learn from a number of lessons.

3.  Terai Senior High school is a community-based school. Students learn the local culture and traditional industry through experiment learning such as art, ceramics, and design.

4.  Students will develop the competences to succeed in the 21^st century through P.E. lessons and health care learning.

5.  Students learn about a human-friendly life. We study lifestyle and welfare from the view point of food, clothing, and housing to find a suitable way to live in an advanced information society.
