My birthday fell on September 19th and to celebrate, I explored more of Kanazawa.
I visited the Phonograph Museum (金沢蓄音器館) and looked at all of the phonographs. Some machines were over 100 years old and they were made out of very beautiful wood and materials.
After the museum, I went to KurandoTerashima’s house and attended a tea ceremony. Kurando Terashima was a very talented samurai who could paint pictures and write calligraphy skillfully. His house and garden were very pretty!!
Lastly, I visited Kazue-machi and had some delicious birthday cheesecake.Kazue-machi is my favorite tea district, because it feels so secret. I want to see geisha there!
What do you do on your birthday?
